OML 143

We are currently operating under a Production Sharing Contract license for OML 143. We were able to put OML 143 into commercial production within two years of signing the PSC. Currently we are producing Okwuibome Blend of Crude oil which is popular amongst North America, France, Italy and South Africa and parts of Asia owing to its low sulfur and sweet crude quality. The mix of energy that provides heat, light and mobility for billions of people is shifting towards lower-carbon sources, driven by advancement in technology and growing concerns about climate change.

We at SEEPCO are determined to play our part in this energy transition, meeting the world’s need for additional energy sustainably by reducing carbon emissions.

Reservoir Engineering

The Reservoir Engineering Department at SEEPCO Nigeria is dedicated to maximizing asset value through rigorous technical evaluation and strategic field development. Our core responsibilities include understanding reservoir behaviour, optimizing production performance, and ensuring efficient long-term resource recovery. We continuously strengthen our production optimization efforts through well surveillance, data-driven analysis, and the application of techniques such as artificial lift optimization, well intervention planning, and improved reservoir modelling.

In addition, our reservoir simulation workflows play a key role in supporting informed operational and development decisions. By applying advanced dynamic models, we are able to forecast performance, evaluate various development scenarios, and identify opportunities for maximum hydrocarbon recovery. These initiatives collectively support our commitment to safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations while driving sustained asset performance and contributing to the company’s long-term growth.

Drilling Engineering

SEEPCO’s Drilling Engineering team delivers end-to-end well planning and execution, covering drilling and completion design, operational supervision, and performance optimization. We manage drilling and completion operations with strong technical oversight, real-time monitoring, and proactive problem solving.

Our expertise includes drilling fluids and mud engineering for well stability and safety, as well as strict cost monitoring and control to minimize Non-Productive Time and stay within budget. Through structured data engineering and analysis, we support informed decision-making, continuous improvement, and high-performance drilling aligned with global standards.

Well completion - Sterling Oil

Well Completion and Production

At SEEPCO, our well completion and production team is dedicated to preparing wells for optimal production by installing and configuring essential equipment. This involves setting up tubing, casing, and valves to control the flow of oil and gas from the reservoir to the surface. We ensure that wells are equipped with advanced completion technologies tailored to specific reservoir conditions, optimizing production efficiency and safety.

Our team also conducts rigorous testing and monitoring to verify the integrity and performance of the well. By implementing best practices and innovative techniques, we maximize production rates while minimizing operational risks and environmental impact.

Subsurface Data Management

At SEEPCO, our subsurface data management team is crucial in collecting, analyzing, and managing data from subsurface activities to enhance decision-making and optimize operations. We gather comprehensive data from various sources, including geological surveys, seismic studies, and well logs. Advanced data analytics and modeling techniques are employed to interpret this data, providing valuable insights into reservoir behavior, resource potential, and operational efficiency.

Our approach ensures that all data is accurately processed and integrated into decision-making frameworks, enabling us to make informed choices that improve performance, reduce risks, and maximize resource recovery while maintaining environmental stewardship.
